Congrats to our January Star of the Month, Kaleb, who has made great progress in reading this year! Kaleb is a fourth grader at Central Intermediate School in Washington, IL. Here is what Kaleb's teacher, Ms. Perko, has to say about him:
Kaleb is such a hard worker even though reading can be tough. He has improved his fluency on our testing platform by 30 words per minute already, and we aren't even to Christmas break! He starts with ten minutes of Word Warm-ups each day, and then he spends about 15-20 on Read Naturally where we are working hard on his summarizing of the text in addition to his fluency. We have had to change his goal in aimsweb twice now to account for his progress. We are all so proud of him, his work ethic, and his desire to push himself to be better. He is definitely a shining star for us right now!
Way to go, Kaleb! Keep up the great work.
