Congratulations to Ojany, our May Star of the Month! Ojany is a seventh grader at William Thomas Middle School in American Falls, Idaho. Here is what his teacher, Ms. Harker, had to say about him:
Ojany has been participating in Read Naturally learning programs for a year and a half now. He started as a sixth grader with a 4.0 reading level. Along the way, he has worked hard and is very diligent when it is time to do Read Live. He was able to increase his reading level from 4.0 to 5.6 during sixth grade year and most recently he is proud that he has achieved an 8.0 reading level (as a seventh grader). Ojany enjoys using the Read Naturally program to improve his reading. He says the part he likes best is the read along because it helps with pronunciation of the words. Ojany has read a lot of stories, 22 so far, and says, "There is a lot of interesting things to learn."
