Congratulations to Thadeus, our October Star of the Month! Thadeus is a fifth grader at Oakridge Elementary School in Oakridge, OR who has made remarkable progress using Read Live. Here is what his teacher, Ms. Saxon, had to say about him:
"Thadeus began working in my Read Naturally Live intervention group in the Fall of 2022. At that time, he was a very shy boy and a reluctant reader. He struggled to read at the phonics level in RNL, scoring 14 wpm on his first cold read. Slowly his confidence grew and his reading improved. Thadeus really took to the RNL system of progress-monitoring and rewards, as well as the program incentives I added to my classroom. Thadeus also benefited from a caring network of support from family, teachers and friends. Over time, Thadeus has grown by leaps and bounds. He has steadily progressed through the reading levels and is now reading at level 4! In fact, he requested that I "bump" him up to level 4 after completing level 3. Thadeus is an inspiration to emerging readers and to staff as a young person who has shown how dedication, hard work, and perseverance can make a difference!"
Way to go, Thadeus!
