Read Naturally Live–Español is now available to all Read Live users! Here are some resources to help you get the most from the new program.
Last week, we hosted a webinar demonstrating the new student interface and discussing the rationale behind the program, explaining the educational settings where it can be implemented, and describing which students will benefit. This 30-minute presentation is a great place to start learning how Read Naturally Live–Español can benefit your students. Watch the recording of the Read Naturally Live—Español Basics webinar and check out the related Research & Rationale document.
To get started, students will need to be assigned access to Read Naturally Live–Español from the Staff Module. Step-by-step instructions can be found in the Read Live User Guide. The user guide also includes some basic information about using the program and its steps.
After being assigned to Read Naturally Live–Español, students will need to be placed in an appropriate level and with an appropriate goal. Just as in Read Naturally Live placement, evaluation of both rate and understanding contribute to correct placement. Check out the Placement Guide for Read Naturally Live–Español for detailed recommendations from our curriculum team.
Once students are placed, they can begin working in the program. The steps of Read Naturally Live–Español are the same as the steps for Read Naturally Live. The content corresponds with passages from the Sequenced Series (levels 1.0-2.5) and students work through the same process but completely in Spanish. Visit the product page to learn more:
There is a new Read Naturally Live–Español Steps Poster available to help guide students through the process of completing a story and the Spanish Welcome Letter can help you communicate with Spanish-speaking parents. There is also a dedicated Q&A resource to clarify some of the common questions related to Read Naturally Live–Español.
We’re excited to bring this new curriculum option to all Read Live users at no additional cost. A Spanish language version of the student training videos will be available soon. Stay tuned!
