SAINT PAUL, MN—Read Naturally, Inc., announced today the launch of Read Live, the latest generation of Read Naturally's research-based programs: Benchmark Assessor Live and Read Naturally Live. Read Live's powerful web-technology platform gives administrators the ability to easily deploy these programs whether on a single computer or across an entire district.
"We are thrilled to introduce Read Live, our newest intervention and assessment tool," CEO and Read Naturally co-owner Tom Ihnot said. "Using our highly effective strategy that combines teacher modeling, repeated reading, and progress monitoring, Read Live provides a comprehensive program and assessment that's easy to access and administer and will benefit struggling readers across the globe."
Benchmark Assessor Live assesses students' overall reading proficiency to determine if intervention is needed and monitors student progress over time.
In Read Naturally Live, students are placed at their instructional reading levels (19 levels are available). Educators can easily differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a wide range of students from first grade to adult including English language learners, special education, and Title I students.
Students work mostly independently in Read Naturally Live by reading high-interest, nonfiction stories and completing a number of activities including a vocabulary-boosting game, Wordtastic. This motivating and engaging curriculum and format builds students' fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and phonics skills.
