What's New in This Release

Read Live version 4.14.1 prevents Periodic Assessment of Fluency (PAF) assessment windows from including valid scores more than one week apart. Incomplete PAF assessment windows allow a teacher to return for one week after the first valid saved timing. After that week, incomplete assessment windows will be closed with a single saved timing.

Detailed Summary of changes in this release

• The Periodic Assessment of Fluency (PAF) now prevents valid timings more than one week apart in the same assessment window. Changes related to this date limit include:
  • When a set of PAF timings is closed without the necessary timings for a complete assessment, the teacher is informed of any date by which assessments need to be complete.
    • The date, when present, is based on the first valid timing saved during the assessment window.
    • Note that if no valid timings have been saved, no date limit is applied.
  • On the Teacher menu's Periodic Assessment of Fluency page, incomplete PAF assessment windows indicate any date by which timings need to be complete. 
  • The Close button on the PAF timing page now completes any assessment window for which the student has already saved the required number of valid timings.
  • One week after the first saved valid timing, any Periodic Assessment of Fluency assessment windows that remain open are closed with a single valid saved timing.
    • Notifications in the Read Naturally Live student application's application tile and header no longer appear.
    • In the Read Naturally Live Teacher Menu, the Periodic Assessment of Fluency page shows the date on which the last timing occurred and the date on which the next assessment window will open. Timings are not available again until the next window opens. 
    • Reporting data for the student involved includes the valid timing that was completed.
